It takes one hand to clean your house, it takes two to keep it clean. Here are a few tips on how to hold-off the dust bunny.
Assign a place for everything.
Designate a place for everything you own. Use old containers for storing knick-knacks.
Schedule a weekly clutter-check.
Dedicate at least an hour a week to sorting the week’s small disarrangements. Breaking down the task day by day allows for easier management.
Have your own “Dropbox”.
Things from all over the house seem to always end up in either the kitchen or the living room. Put a Dropbox in these areas. During your weekly clean, put the clutter that end up in these Dropboxes back to their respective places.
Think about what you buy.
To live a simpler, less cluttered life, you will have to filter what you purchase. Buying things that you do not need or “might need some time” will almost always end up dusty in the corner one day.
